Elias made his first steps in music by the hand of a family member at the age of 8, being recognized as a promising young musician. He began playing professionaly at the age of 12.

In 1998 he travelled to Egypt to study with Luca El-Arian and Muhammad EL-Araby, riqq and classic arab music.

In 2003 he graduated from the Rimon School for Jazz and Contemporary Music in Tel Aviv. Here he met Arnie Lawrence, american jazz saxophonist who invited him to be part of the Kashkul group, beginning then his world career performing in USA.

He has performed in many countries such as Germany, Canada, Norway, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Dubai, etc. as the percussionist of artists like Amal Murkus, Shuf Hal-Eyam ensemble, The Apples, Junoon Ensemble, Kurd Band, Daddo and the Ladino Voice, Habib Hanna Ensemble and other artists.

He also recorded for the soundtracks of the "Lemon Trees" and "The Band's Visit" movies.
